Electronic equipment not specifically covered by local or state regulations (such as loose cables, cameras, GPS devices, and microwaves) can be discarded in regular garbage.  Items made of mostly metal or rigid plastic can be recycled with other metal/glass/plastic items.

We're partnering with Astronomers without Borders to recycle eclipse glasses through the month of September (2017). They will be sent to schools in South America and Asia when eclipses cross through those continents in 2019. Please pull up to the CHaRM window to drop them off.

CHaRM is an outdoor facility. In the event of extreme weather, call us at (303) 444-6634 before you visit to find out if the CHaRM is open. We care about your safety and our employees!

CHaRM opened in 2001 and was the first facility of its kind in the nation. It collects unusual materials like electronics and plastic bags for recycling and reuse.
